Airport
The nearest airport for Southampton and Hampshire is Southampton Airport itself, but Heathrow, Gatwick, Bristol and Cardiff airports are all possible alternatives. The following sites may be of help if you are intending to fly into the area. Southampton Airport – flights direct to Southampton and information about our local airport.

Heathrow Airport – the official site for London's biggest airport, Heathrow, convenient for Southampton, particularly for long haul flights.

Gatwick Airport – Gatwick is a little further away, but the good transport links make a journey to Southampton reasonable.

Bristol Airport – Bristol is another option, served by an excellent rail connection from the City of Bristol to Southampton.

Cardiff Airport – a greater distance away, but still worth considering if the price or flights are right.
